LUTHER: The Counterfeit Detective
A New York City Detective goes on the hunt for a woman named Alice, who has been implicated in the shooting of his partner. The trail leads to the notorious Detective Chief Inspector John Luther.

Originally a Halloween costume gag by the director. The Counterfeit Detective soon became much more after a well received response on social media to a 20 second tease.
The short film over all was produced over a 2 week period, with four hours of filming and a week in post production.

The role of Luther was originally played by Bruce Wabbit. But he decided to focus directing and handed off the role to Carlito Jackson.

Carlito Jackson was approached for the role over Instagram after the director discovered that they were both going as the character for Halloween.
The director and the Lead actor never met until day of filming.
Derrick T. Lewis was originally intended to play DS Dias Spencer.
The actress who plays Alice is renowned dance choreographer and play write Salma Allam.
This is Carlito Jackson's first acting role.
